Workshops

Reading

The reading workshop is to prepare students to become proficient readers.
Reading activity has the following objectives: fluency, understanding and motivation.
The teacher animates the reading periods in order to explicitly teach reading strategies. An enlarged text that all students can easily see is used. The teacher reads the text with the participation of more and more students and explores the text in constant interaction with them.

Writing
The writing workshop is a period during which the students are immersed in writing activities.
The purpose of this activity is to encourage students to write regularly while respecting the rhythm of each (differentiation).
During the writing periods, skills and writing strategies are taught to the students.

Visual art
Artistic practice includes drawing and images. The goal is to enable students to express themselves through drawing. Students also reproduce images of existing objects in their environment or in their thinking.
We suggest each child to draw, on squares of paper, the images he prefers with the tool of his choice.
